Kyle Pickett and the North State Symphony performed the world premiere of the first concert version of Phineas McBoof Crashes the Symphony.The program attracted thousands of children to concerts in California and in Alaska, where Pickett also led an orchestra before taking the helm of the symphonies in Topeka and Springfield, Mo.
